Max Verstappen

Max Verstappen er søn af den tidligere Formel 1-kører Jos Verstappen og fik sin Formel 1-debut i 2015 for Toro Rosso i sæsonåbningen i Melbourne, Australien, som den yngste kører nogensinde, kun 17 år gammel. Et løb senere blev Verstappen også den yngste kører til at score point, da han sluttede som nummer 7 i Malaysia.
Generelt var Max Verstappens debutsæson krydret med flotte resultater, men også forfriskende kørsel hvor den unge hollænder lavede ting, som hører sig de store Formel 1-mestre til. Nogle af den unge kørers manøvrer endte dog knap så godt, så hollænderen ofte måtte en tur i væggen.
Karrierens vigtigste milepæl var nok da Verstappen blev forfremmet til Red Bull teamet, i stedet for Daniil Kvyat. Dette sket efter kun fire løb i 2016 sæsonen, og Verstappen vandt sensationelt Spaniens Grand Prix i sit første løb for Red Bull (efter de to førende Mercedes-racere havde kørt hinanden af på første omgang, red.).
"And the rest is history", som man siger. Fra at blive den yngste vinder af et Formel 1 løb nogensinde, har Verstappen i dag taget fire VM titler, seneste i 2024 sæsonen.
2024-sæsonen var tæt i toppen og Verstappen er ikke favorit til VM titlen i år. Den titel går til Lando Norris som viste storform i anden halvdel af 2024-sæsonen med McLaren.
